Here is my second update. It has a look at our students, during a dress up dinner, so they look fun and creative. It has the New Zealand scenery and beauty. And it has a small bit of the teaching that the students hear. In case you are wondering, here is what a week looks like for a student:
Monday through Friday they have lectures with one speaker on one topic. Lectures are for three hours a day. Then, throughout the week, they have community work duties (mowing lawns, weeding, etc), study time for book reports and journals, small groups, worship, prayer/ intercession, Bible study and outreach team meetings. Every Friday, we head out into the local community to serve, evangelise and love people. This includes visiting the local retirement center, handing out free coffee/ tea at a market, baking cookies and going door-to-door, praying for people we meet in the malls and parks, etc. Then, each weekend, they have the option of going on a weekend activity. These are times to backpack, camp, hike, sit in cafes, play at the beach, sit by a fire and chill. Then it all starts again on Monday.
I hope the video shows what we do here. I am loving leading this school, running the program, mentoring these students and WORSHIPPING Jesus even more :)
